Refunds and reprints

Every book is made for one child and printed once, with their name on the cover. That is why there is a free preview before you pay anything, and it is also why this page is shorter than most: there is no warehouse to send a personalized book back to.

Before it goes to print
Write to hello@dreamtalecartoons.com and we cancel the order and refund it in full. Books are sent to the printer shortly after the order, so tell us quickly. If it arrives damaged
Send us a photo of the damage. We reprint it and send the new one, and you do not have to ship the damaged copy back: it has your child’s name on it, and it is no use to anybody else. If we got something wrong
A misspelled name, the wrong dedication, a printing fault, the wrong book: send us a photo and we reprint it at our cost, or refund you in full if you would rather. This is our mistake to fix, not yours to prove. If the character does not look like your child
You see the character before you pay, and that is the moment to tell us: write to us and we redraw it. If you only notice once the book has arrived, write anyway and we will find a way to make it right. If you simply changed your mind
Once a book is printed with a child’s name in it, we cannot resell it and cannot take it back. This is the honest limit of a made-to-order product, and it is the reason the preview exists. How long a refund takes
We approve it as soon as we have seen the photo, and the money goes back to the card you paid with. Your bank usually takes a few business days to show it. Where we ship
The United States, printed in Texas. If you are somewhere else, write to us before you order and we will tell you honestly what it would cost and how long it would take.
